B.Sc. in Political Science | M.Phil. in Global Development
Meta Mulyani holds a Master’s degree in Global Development Theory and Practice from the University of Bergen, Norway, where her master’s thesis focused on climate resilience among smallholder farmers in Central Java. During her master’s studies, she was also engaged in various research projects, including migrants’ employment in Norway and loneliness and social prescription. Her academic interests include climate change, children and youth, and health promotion.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a major in International Relations from UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Her undergraduate thesis explored gender inequality in South Korea, with a specific focus on the political climate during the presidency of Park Geun-hye, the country’s first female head of state.

👤 Sultan Beles
M.Phil. in Global Development | Psychological Counsellor
Sultan Beles is a trained psychological counsellor and researcher with a Master’s degree in Global Development Theory and Practice from the University of Bergen, Norway. Her academic focus is on health promotion, with a particular interest in the intersections of mental health, social inclusion, and educational outcomes. His master’s thesis — “Perceptions of Gender Roles and Academic Satisfaction among University Students: Do Proactive Personality Traits and Work Volition Matter?” — applied a psychological and sociological lens to investigate how individual agency and gender role beliefs influence students’ satisfaction with their academic paths.
Sultan also holds a Master’s degree in Psychological Counselling and Guidance from Hacettepe University, Turkey and a Bachelor’s degree in the same field from Pamukkale University in Turkey. His clinical training and work have equipped him with practical experience in individual and group therapy, especially with youth facing adaptation and developmental challenges.
He has worked as a research assistant at the University of Bergen and NORCE (Norwegian Research Centre), contributing to projects on immigrant inclusion, youth exclusion, and mental health interventions such as the DUĂ… program for children with ADHD. His interdisciplinary expertise spans both qualitative and quantitative methods, including thematic analysis and structured intervention planning.
Outside academia, Sultan provides freelance academic counselling and therapeutic support for students and professionals navigating career transitions, exam preparation, or psychological adaptation.
